Cardiff International Film Festival is committed to ensuring inclusivity of the Welsh language through the medium of film.

To achieve this, we aim to:

 

•  Encourage entrants to the festival, who both speak and use the language.

•  Encourage attendees to the festival, who both speak and use the language.

•  Provide a special category section for Welsh language films.

•  Introduce activities in the Welsh-medium to increase opportunity to participate.

•  Provide key points of the festival in the Welsh language via literature and online.

•  Promote and strengthen the position of Welsh as a living language.
