BAFTA Winner Kimberley Nixon attending the 2018 Festival

We are very pleased to announce our latest special guest: British award-winning actress, Kimberley Nixon. Kimberley won the 2017 BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her role in 'Ordinary Lies' (2015) and is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Before her graduation in 2007, she signed to Universal Studios after appearing in a college production of The Comedy of Errors and is a former member of the National Youth Theatre of Wales. In September 2008, Kimberley made her stage debut as Griet in a tour and London run of an adaptation of 'Girl with a Pearl Earring'. She then went on to appear in many productions including playing Sophy Hutton in the BBC One period drama 'Cranford', opposite Dame Judi Dench. Other productions she has appeared in include 'Wild Child', 'Angus', 'Thongs and Perfect Snogging'. 'Easy Virtue', 'Black Death', 'Fresh Meat', 'Resistance' - in which she starred alongside Michael Sheen, 'Hunky Dory' with Minnie Driver, 'the Gammons', 'Offender', 'Kidnap and Ransom', 'Greenshaw's Folly' (Agatha Christie's Marple), 'Critical', 'Kingdom of Rain', 'Dog Thrower' and in the 2014 BBC One Wales television remake of Dylan Thomas' radio drama 'Under Milk Wood' as Myfanwy Price. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Kimberley to our festival.
